Mission Statement: Saved by God's Grace, Rooted in Christ, Nurtured in Faith, Serving Christ and Community
At Christ Lutheran we are saved by God's Grace. Rooted in Christ, we are nourished in worship and the sacraments. Nurtured in faith, we seek lifelong growth in our relationships with God and others. Serving Christ and community, we share God's love near and far.

We are an ELCA Lutheran church located along highway 66 between Louisville, NE and Plattsmouth, NE.

We have been together as a congregation for 129 years and look forward to another 129 years of ministry in Cass county.  All are welcome at Christ Lutheran.

Pastor Emily Johnson Is a graduate of The Lutheran School of Theology at Chicago. Her ministry passions include: worship planning and leadership; doing theology in everyday life; and providing pastoral care in all seasons of life.

Pastor Emily is available for pastoral care conversations by appointment or when she in in the office. As ministry is done mostly outside of church, please call ahead if you are planning on dropping by. She also holds coffee shop office hours in the community a couple of times a month, those dates can be found on the calendar.

Vicar Aaron Silco,  Intern
Greetings Christ Lutheran Church. I look forward to meeting all of you over the course of the year. Here is some more information about me as we get to know each other. I was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, but grew up in Littleton, Colorado. Before my parents were retired, they both worked at Lockheed Martin as Aerospace engineers. I am one of three children, and all three of us went to school for something not engineering, to which my dad will joke, “you all had two engineers for parents, where did we go wrong”. My curiosity of all things science certainly came from my parents. My curious questioning lead to a faithful wrestling with God which took me all the way to seminary to become a pastor. Encountering God’s love and grace in communion is very important and meaningful for me.
I love to travel and explore new places, and have been very fortunate to have lived in and visited many places. I find other cultures and religions fascinating. If you are curious about some of the places I have been and worked, I invite you to ask me about it. I would love to hear your stories as well, what you do, what brought you to this part of Nebraska, where you see God in your daily lives? There are so many questions to ask and talk about which can be meaningful, and those meaningful conversations are worth having, as Christ is the source of all meaning for us. Keep safe during these times and I hope to have these meaningful conversations with you over the next year.
